How do Adaptive Rugs prices compare to FLOR? We did the math...

WHY DO THESE CARPET TILES COST SO MUCH?

Do they? When you compare price per tile with other products, sure you may find that their price is less but you may also find that their tile is smaller. For example, the carpet squares made by FLOR are 50 centimeters x 50 centimeters (approx 19.5" x 19.5"). Our carpet tiles are 100 centimeters x 100 centimeters (approx 39" x 39"). Which means you actually need four of their tiles for every one of our tiles. So, given one of their less-expensive styles is $14 per square, when you multiply it by 4 you find that the cost per meter for that style is $56... compared to our $34.95 per meter. Let's examine this as a price per square foot analysis: Their tile is approx 19.5" x 19.5" which is 380.25 square inches, which is approx 2.64 square feet. Our tile is approx 39" x 39" which is 1521 square inches, which is approx 10.56 square feet. The ratio of 10.56 to 2.64 is exactly 4... which further proves that our tiles are 4 times bigger. Looking at price per square foot, FLOR's squares are approx 2.64 square feet for $14, which comes to approx $5.30 a square foot. Our carpet tiles are approx 10.56 square feet for $34.95, which comes to approx $3.30 a square foot. That's a savings of $2 per square foot. So, sorry to all the FLOR customers who thought they were getting a great deal on designer carpet tile... Adaptive Rugs carpet tiles amount to a savings of approx 38%.
